What is a Lifescapeartist?

As we tossed around numerous ideas for what we should name this blog, we went back and forth only knowing that our focus was designing dream lifestyles. We looked at the people who we thought really had this in a way that we really liked. Three people came to mind:
- Rob and Kim from Jetset Life
- Chris Guilbeau from Art of Nonconformity
- Tim Ferriss from the 4- Hour Work Week
After seeing the way they all live their lives, we settled on the name Lifescape Artists. We are truly the architects and artists that create our lives. When a landscaper is given a job, his duty is to shape and beautify the land in such a way that the people who hire the landscaper are appreciative of the beauty that results.
We want to start approaching life the same way. As lifescapers we all have different goals and different ideal lifescapes. Some of us want to be able to travel the world and make money doing it. For some of us that means spending as much time possible with family and getting paid to do it. Whatever your ideal lifescape is, the mission of the this blog is to help our readers get there while we work towards the same goal. Our intention is to develop a powerful lifescaping community that enables people to build dream lifestyles. Welcome to our journey.

WOW, great post! Direct Marketing
Great site! I totally agree that we have to take steps to make our lives what WE want them to be – not what society dictates they should be. My husband and I made the decision a couple years ago that time with our boys was paramount – they will never grow younger. We are now out cycling the world with our sons and having a blast doing it! We opted to spend some of our retirement account now, knowing we will have to work longer in the end, but we’ll have memories of this time together forever!

@Nancy: It sounds like you guys lead a really interesting life. For me that would be taking kids around the world surfing and probably educating them in a very different manner than traditional education. I always wonder if we asked kids what they want to learn, how much differently they would turn out rather than forcing subjects on them.
I have started preparing a sizeable amount of homework on direct marketing and pr for a brand-new page that i’m creating and simply felt like saying that you web log is quite solid. Many thanks for the insightful guidance you have established.
